Finally did something else other than sanding (although I did manage another 3 hours of that as well). Got the epoxy resin out, was a bit nervous as I'd never used it before so wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Anyway had a go at mixing some quite thick epoxy - got the instructions from West online as its their products I'm using, this was to repair the stern where the ply had
delaminated and rotted, hopefully the epoxy will have done the trick but I'll have to wait until its dry to see how solid it feels!
Also put on two of the runner strips on the starboard side, using a bonding epoxy (as per West instructions), bonded the strips back on the hull keeping them in place with brass tacks. Also ran down the edge of each runner with a slightly thicker fillet of epoxy to ensure they are fully bonded and waterproof.
